I enjoy all of the topics in your posts, but I have to say my eyes love to jump to the Ai Tools of the Day section. Mem is at the top of the list today. It looks great, but has no Android app - which is a deal breaker for me because I take more notes on my phone than on any other device. Not a problem though - I already use Notion and Obsidian, and after seeing that Mem doesn't support Android, I'm playing with Roam Research this weekend.
That's interesting that Mem didn't grip you. Same for me with Roam Research - spent some time with it yesterday and this morning and I don't think it has much AI integration. It's big selling point seems to be linking, but Obsidian is doing that very very well for me.
I think I may just continue with Notion and Obsidian, and even though both have some AI integration I might start to think of getting my AI summaries and such from Perplexity, Bard, ChatGPT etc and not use the AI built into the notes apps as heavily.
All subject to change if I start to see more magic in their AI integrations or if a unicorn AI driven notes app comes along *and* has a great Android app, not just desktop and iOS :)
I do use it regularly. Great for ingesting long text and for research. ChetGPT may be better for coding and short text. Perplexity for up-to-date information and prompts
Your piece on the collision of AI and copyright is quite enlightening. It's fascinating how AI's learning journey mirrors that of toddlers, and the balance between copyright protection and AI innovation is definitely a tightrope walk. Looking forward to more of your insights on the evolving landscape.
Thanks a lot. Not sure how traditional media will be able to fight an entire generation getting their news from Ai and tech platforms. It seems to me that IG is the ultimate newspaper.

interesting comment. I tried Mem, but wasnt really able to get much into it even though it's an amazing app. I use notion daily as well.

Do you use Claude?
Ha, I want to - if that's the one I think it is from Anthropic. Are you using it / have you tried it out? If so, has it impressed you?

Sweet - thanks so much for the insight. I'll definitely look at Claude
